Four of our churches were among the top 100 contributors. They are:
Valley in Monte Vista didn’t make it into the top 100 churches but they came in 5th in the Colorado District.
Great job Kids and Children’s Workers! The 2009 Project is The D-Code Challenge. Monies raised for this project will make an eternal difference in the lives of children around the world by helping to provide quizzing and Bible study resource in their own languages (French, Spanish, Korean and Portuguese). Besides the normal VBS offering, consider other creative ways to raise money for this project. If you have an idea, contact Pastor Vickie Morgan and we will include it on this page.
The new District Children’s Quiz Director is Chris Maker of Sterling, Colorado.
Mark your calendars!! On April 18th, after the District Quiz we are going to have some fun! Activities include a special gospel story-teller/puppeteer/illusionist. There will be outdoor games, face painting, hot dogs for lunch and time to get to know other kids on the Colorado District. Keep checking this page for more details! Congratulations are in order! Colorado is one of seven districts in the
United States and Canada that received the Kids Reaching Kids Mission Offering
Project 10K Award. That means that
we contributed more than $10,000 to purchase Proclaimers, self-contained audio
Bibles that will be placed into pre-literate areas of the world.
Children’s Quizzing is off to a great start
in Colorado. We have had two
invitational quizzes already and the results have been outstanding. You guys have really been studying!
